Development Diary: Season Map

2021-04-29

Greetings Lords!

Since Season 1: Distant Calling was fully launched, we have received a lot of feedback from players. We have fast-tracked resolving some of the problems through updates, and today we will inform you about the latest developments in the Season Map, as well as answering some of the most commonly asked questions and concerns raised by players. In the future, we will regularly reply to your questions and suggestions in the form of a development diary.

I. Season Map Plan

We have collected your suggestions as well as your feedback regarding the season experience and will make the following adjustments to this event:

1. Shortening the Duration of the Season Map

When designing Season Map, we hoped to give players a completely different experience from previous events. Therefore, the event was designed following a brand new idea. From the start of Season Map, we have received feedback from players indicating that participating in this event has been particularly hard and taxing, so we have decided to end the season event two weeks ahead of schedule.

2. Seasonal Individual Points Rank Reward Adjustment

We have received a lot of concerns from players that the current individual rank rewards are not attractive enough. Therefore, we have increased the overall value of the individual Points Rank Rewards, and replaced the fixed rewards with a "Season Choice Chest." The "Season Choice Chest" includes: Dragon Blood, Royal Badge, Noble Badge, Philosopher's Stone, Primal Dragon Scale and you can choose rewards from them to your liking. For more details, please go to [Season 1: Distant Calling] and [News Center] after the Personal Points Rank Rewards are updated.

At the same time, we will increase the overall value of Fort Oak First Capture Rewards, which you can check in the game.

3. Adjustment of Alliance Leaving Cooldown

We introduced an Alliance Leaving cooldown to prevent a Kingdom from quickly establishing an unfair local advantage by rapidly changing Alliances. However, this setting hindered players' participation in Excalibur Invasion. Therefore, we have decided to remove this restriction for the duration of each Excalibur Invasion.

II. Season Map Q&A

Q1. Why is there a Safe Zone in the season? The Safe Zone prevents me from fighting freely.

A: The Safe Zone intends to help more players join in the Map Season events. When Map Season advances to Stage 4, Total War will commence and you can enter Safe Zones to fight, so stay tuned!

Q2. Why is there a March Speedup Limit? Players can't fight freely.

A: This setting is intended to allow more people to participate in the Map Season events. Based on your feedback, we will re-examine this setting.

Q3. It takes too long to demolish and build towers. Some Alliances place multiple towers to prevent other Alliances from advancing.

A: We have also noticed this situation. Therefore, we have made adjustments to the consumption cost of Alliance towers. We will continue to follow the construction and demolition issue of Alliance towers in the future, and bring you a better experience, so stay tuned!

Q4. Season Loudspeakers do not appear on the Kingdom Chat, making it unable to translate and difficult to communicate.

A: We will examine and fix this issue as soon as possible. Please be patient and wait for the official notice.
