Development Diary: New Season Map

2021-06-05

Greetings Lords!

Since the S1 Map Season-Distant Calling is over, we have received feedback and suggestions from many players. Based on this feedback, we have adjusted and optimized Season Map. This announcement will focus on these optimizations. In the future, we will continue to collect your opinions and improve the gaming experience.

I. The Event Schedule

We expect to officially start Season's Eve on June 7th, and the S2 Season Map will be officially launched after the end of Season's Eve.

The above schedule is for reference only, we may adjust it depending on the circumstances so please pay close attention to the official information.

II. Season's Eve

1. To relieve the fatigue of players participating in Season's Eve, the duration of Season's Eve has been shortened, Covenant Trials has been removed, while Top 10 Alliances, Open Portal, Merlin's Request and other events have been retained.

2. Adjusted the rewards of Season's Eve. Go to [Season's Eve] page in game for details.

III. Optimized Season Map

1. In order to ease the fatigue of players participating in the season map events, and reduce the burden on the players' daily game experience, we add an Alliance Truce function in Season Map. R5 and R4 members can turn it on based on your needs. When a Truce is enabled, the following actions cannot be performed (other actions will not be affected):

-Construction, garrisoning, abandonment, repairing and reinforcement cannot be carried out on the Fortresses and Season Towers of your Alliance. The ongoing actions will be canceled immediately and relevant troops will be automatically sent back.

-Other Alliances (both your Kingdom's or another Kingdom's) cannot perform any "attack" operations on your Alliance's Fortresses and Season Towers, including attack/demolish, rally, and scout; similarly, any ongoing actions will be canceled immediately and the troops will be automatically sent back.

2. Some players reported that the cooling time setting of the Alliance withdrawal affected players' normal participation in Excalibur Invasion, Nether War and so on. Therefore, we decide to cancel the cooldown time of Alliance withdrawal during the season to ensure that players can timely and conveniently participate in other activities.

3.To participate in cross-area wars, some players consumed a lot of golds for cross-area teleport. To make battles more accessible, everyone will get a number of free cross-area teleports every day during the season.

4. In S1 Map Season-Distant Calling, we found that some Alliances will intensively place Season Towers to hinder the advancement of other Kingdoms. In order to maintain the fairness of the game and the player's experience, we add a limit on the construction of towers in the season. When the player tries to place a tower, if there are a certain number of Towers in the immediate area (completed or under construction), this spot will be invalid to place a new one so as to avoid unfairness.

5. In the S1 Season Map event, the gameplay of Tower Assaulter has been well received by players. Therefore, in the new round of Season Map, we not only retained this gameplay, but extended it to the entire season. Players can get a number of Grainhouses by killing the Tower Assaulter to get generous resource rewards.

6. In the new round of Season Map, we will add the daily yield of Season Resurrection Coins from various activities of the Season Map, so that players could enjoy the battles without worrying about the losses.

7. To better combat experiences, attacking enemy Alliance buildings will no longer be subject to March Speedup Limit; the attack on the player's cities will still be restricted by March Speedup Limit.

8. Adjusted the yield of the Alliance Crystal Mines. By reducing personal gathering, there will be a daily cap of Season Crystal that an Alliance could obtain.

9. To ease the game experiences, we greatly reduce the time necessary to demolish a Season Tower, and also compressed the duration of the Season Map.

10. Adjusted the Season Points gain. Increased the points from capturing and occupying the map buildings, and reduced points from killing troops.

11. Optimized the rewards of the Season Map. Check in game for more details.

12. To prevent players from mistakenly abandoning Alliance Fortresses or Towers, the time to abandon Alliance Fortresses and Towers will be unified to 24 hours.

13. New Buff: Battle Frenzy

-When attacking or scouting a player’s City, encampment, or resource tile, you will enter War Frenzy status (triggered upon launching a march, and cancellation will not remove it).

-Players in Battle Frenzy status will be unable to open a peace shield or return to the original Kingdom until Battle Frenzy expires.

14. New: Cross-region March Limit optimization -When the player is marching across regions, the march speed will decrease.
